I am Cengiz Koncu, a volunteer from Turkey. I have recently started my volunteering journey at Šiaulių Didždvario gimnazija as part of the „Volunteering for Solidarity Education” project, which will continue until August 2026.
My Interests and Background My life is driven by a mix of dynamic action and deep analysis. Motorsports, basketball, and football are my biggest passions. While I love the energy and discipline of sports, I am also deeply interested in psychology, which helps me understand human behavior and social structures. I aim to reflect this multi-dimensional perspective in my work here in Lithuania.
First Impressions of Lithuania and Šiauliai From the moment I arrived, Šiauliai has truly impressed me. If I were to describe the city, I would say it is remarkably organized, clean, and beautifully integrated with nature. This peaceful and systematic environment provides the perfect atmosphere for me to focus on my new projects.
What I Do: Radijo klubas My primary responsibility within the project is to actively participate in the activities of the school’s radio station, „Radijo klubas.” My roles include:
- Creating and hosting radio shows using my own ideas and creativity.
- Taking part in technical processes such as editing, creating playlists, and producing jingles.
- Engaging with students to involve them in radio production and building a community around shared interests.
- Supporting other social activities within the school to contribute to the local community.
My Goal: Touching People’s Lives My ultimate goal is to provide genuine benefits to people through volunteer-based work. I believe the experiences I gain here will open new doors in my professional career and business life. I want to use the skills and stories I gather during this project to connect with more people and create a positive social impact.
